After Milo's Birthday was Halloween. We went to the Zoo for "Haunt the Zoo" It was not as crazy as we thought because it was on a Monday. It was great. There were about 10 little stops around the front of the zoo were they got candy, treat, drinks and toys in there free reusable bag! I would do it again :) This year the boys were Batman and his sidekick Robin
Later my sister and mom came down for a visit and we just shopped and sewed and do and eat the usual when they're here, but its so fun!

Then over Thanksgiving we went to Jacob lake, Arizona for a Bowman family reunion

Then we visited the Grand Canyon. Being in this part of the country made me love the outdoors and wished a little I lived where I could be an outdoors person.

Then in the beginning of December our cousins from Utah came to Houston to visit and then met us in Ft. Worth. Simon is a great little helper, was Brody's buddy helping and teaching him along the way. Kalea a great little mommy making sure Milo wasn't doing anything to naughty. AND out little Mali'e was a cute little firecracker, we miss them!

oops...Signature rock in AZ was a place the pioneers going down to the Mexican Colonies would stay and sign their names in the rock..we even saw Brigham Y.'s...very cool

For Christmas we went on a family cruise to Mexico and Central America

Christmas Morning. Brody was soo excited Santa came to our ship. He was the first one up, and Brody is NEVER the first one up.

Brody was excited Santa brought him his truck, trailer and cows. Today he told me policemen, Santa and Jesus were all good guys :)

After Christmas we went back down to spend with my parents and sisters in Houston. Here we are at the Aquarium where we had our wedding rehearsal.

Last weekend we headed down to Dallas for a quick 24hr trip to pick up our new wheels. We met my sister and bro-in-law at In and Out burger for dinner. I haven't been there since college and Brad since his mission so it was a nice treat. Two Beauties

Milo turned one on Wednesday so we headed to Missy's for breakfast. He got free doughnut holes for being cute! (and his birthday)

Later.... We went to the OK State Fair. It was fun to see all the FFA animals and exhibits

Milo cried when I took him off this tractor. The lady was nice enough to push him around a couple times for me.

Can't believe this little guy is 1. He is so sweet LOVES playing outside, walking around like he owns the place and being with big brother.

We have been busy this summer, the last little bit we have been having swim lessons

We went out to dinner with a couple that Brad baptized on his mission

We canned salsa and beans and we went down to produce row and it was glorious

Now that the summer is over we are ready to get back to a routine and cooler weather and HOLIDAYS!!!

This picture is a little irrelevant to my post, but this is why I can't buy junk food, we'll eat it ALL. Brad bought some treats to take with him for when he went to BSA camp and this is like within less than a day of having bought them...needless to say he ended up taking some fruit from home and 1/2 bag of snickers ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In June we took a little jaunt town to Ft. Worth to visit our Issy, Marcus and Buster, she introduced us to Granbury Lake, where we laid on the beach (Milo under a tree) and had a free lunch courtesy of GISD ;)

For the Fourth we had some fam come and visit US!

Milo has lots of hair so I have been trimming it up every month or so, but it was starting to get long. Brody really needed a hair cut too so we thought we would just do them both at the same time. At first I just wanted Brad to do a little trim on Milo, but then he started going shorter, then shorter, I was starting to get a bit anxious but then had to give in. It looks cute but makes him look like a big boy!

Bronc Ridin'

Brody loves animals, especially horse, however, he gets really nervous to ride them. Rowdy was the horse he rode at Cross Creek Stables. He was a sweet little pinto horse that unfortunatley didnt get to go very far, bc Brody wasn't such a great horse handles he took a couple strides in front of his stable and then got a few peppermints and the show was over. Maybe when he's older he will be less scared!

Spring Break 2011

First I want to say happy HALF birthday to my littlest munchkin! He is such a lovey, cuddly go with the flow baby. He puts up with alot from his brother but loves him like he could do no wrong. He has 4 teeth likes to roll from back to front. He can roll from front to back but doesn't do it too much bc he doesn't like to be on his back. He sits up very well. Puts everything in his mouth, enjoys taste testing table food and playing with toys with fun patterns, and colors.

WE LOVE HIM

Over spring Break we flew down to Houston for several jam packed days. Day two we headed over to Ikea where I got some awesome fabric and Brody got to enjoys his first Ikea cinnamon roll and pizza I was able to steal a smidgen of a roll for Milo from Mr. stingy

later we went to the Houston Zoo, I forgot it was all of Houston and surrounding areas spring break so it was CROWDED. Here we are on the train checking out the park

The next day we went to to the Houston livestock show and rodeo. We rode the light rail right up to the entrance. very nice.

The next couple of days were spent with his cousins Maile and Isaac. Poor isaac was Brody's whipping boy. He rode him like a Bronc.

Made him carry him everywhere, get him something to eat, drink, take him to the potty, wrestle him etc. etc. What a good sport Isaac. we love you

Zoo trips and haircuts

Last night during bathtime I decided to give Milo a little haircut.
Trimmed the ears, the Beiber bangs and got rid of the rat tail.
Looks good right?

I set the scissors on top of the toilet finished bathing the boys and let Body play some more while I got Milo out and ready for bed. Brad went in the bathroom after a while and told Brody it was time to get out, when Brody exclaimed... " Dada I cut my hair does it look good?"
Brad: "no it doesn't look good don't cut your hair!"
I ran in and saw this and died laughing! I ran to get my camera to take pictures and Brody told me to stop laughing at him. He was upset;)

Brothers love each other! Milo stares at Brody in awe all the time and laughs when he does goofy stuff. Today while Milo was napping I showered, while I was in there Brody asked if he could wake him up so he could play with him. I said no, and what do you know he just happened to be up when I got out. Brody loves to wake him up when he is sleeping and then crawling into his crib with him.

This little guy wakes up early every morning, but today he woke up extra early at 5am...so we had a fun photo op. His new favorite trick is rolling over. Sometimes he even rolls over when he doesn't even want to...BLAST!

Week of Halloween

We went to the circus several months ago, and so when I asked Brody what he wanted to be for Halloween he told me he wanted to be an elephant and Milo a baby elephant so they could hold tails like they do at the circus! This is my homemade attempt at their Halloween costumes!

Brody had a blast being with all his friends and cousins running from door to door getting free candy. He was lagging behind but would scream at the top of his lungs "Hey guys wait for me" and run as fast as his little feet would carry him.

Brody loves playing with friends! So when he started to beg me to go to school I understood why. I was a little apprehensive to let him go but when we started to look around at a couple of preschools around town he was VERY excited! The first one we went to he asked me over and over if this was his school, I said if mama and dada like it then maybe and he said "please like it, say you like it!" when we left he cried because he wanted to play with his friends...break my heart. Finally after several other places we finally settled on Southern Hills in Edmond. It seems like a great fit for him and he enjoyed the first day and the first thing he told me was he made a "great friend". Unfortunatley he didn't remember his name ;p

When he got into the car after school if jumped and gave baby brother a kiss

Later that night we went to a football game at Deer Creek, Brad's Alma Mater, where they recognized the 10 yr anniversary of his football team's and schools only State Championship win.

Tuesday, September 21, 2010 we welcomed Milo into the worldat 9:42 am at 7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long.
I am so blessed he has been a wonderful baby, sleeps, eats, poops and doesn't complain, unless big brother is jumping on top of his head.

I think he looks like Brad with my nose, but its still hard to tell, he still has that newborn look

Brody has been a great brother. Always checking, kissing, huggging, patting and holding on him. Below, Brody was telling me to make sure I didn't throw a big rock on his head...

...and here he is protecting his head from me so I don't hurt it.

Brad has been a great help. He loves his boys and we LOVE him. He is such a hard worker and I am soooooo greatful.

We are so excited to have him in our lives. WE LOVE HIM! and can't wait for everyone to meet him.

Waiting upon the arrival of Mr. Milo has brought me two awesome shower/lunches for him. Last week my good friends threw a surprise shower for me by luring me in by saying it was a Silpada jewelry party... so of course I was there.

Last week we had a baby calf! Everyone was so excited to see him, we all went over to the 'pasture' to check him out and he was as cute as can be.

He was just following his mommy around and she would stop and wait for him to catch up with her...sooo cute. There will be two more dropping very soon! Their mucus plugs are hanging out...(I know gross) and then this heifer (Yvette) will drop in about 3 1/2 weeks !

Brody and his little bowl haircut LOVES donuts! He'll pray for them at random times, get a little evil laugh if you ask him if he wants one and if you promise him one he will not let you forget you owe him one. So when I found this little donut bakeware at the store I knew he would love it! Friday night I told him that we would make donuts in the morning, but to our disappointment out AC went out in the morning and turning the oven on with no AC would be a no go on the donuts. He was a little disappointed but got over it pretty quickly. Fortunately, this evening we got to make our coveted little donettes.

It's a good thing we did not plan on sharing these donuts because he double dipped like 17 times

I had to cut him off at donut number 3. He might have even snuck in a 4th because he shoved 3 in his mouth and then a whole new half appeared in his hand

These guys were fun to make, I too partook of a couple, they didn't however taste like Krispy Kreme, Shipley's or even Frosted Donettes. More like a Weight Watchers version of a cake donut, which is probably best for me...till I have another tomorrow ;p

Slip N' Slide

Slip n' Slide will NEVER go out of style! last night we got to play with our friends 100' industrial sized slip n' slide. This brought back memories of when I was a kid a we got a slip and slide and the first night my mom slipped, slid and there was no more slip n' slide....she accidently ripped it, but I'm not bitter ;)

Brody was a little peanut going down this thing. He loved it, he finally ended up with no pants and still going like a champ.

The dads 'DOMINATE'd this poor thing, even fipping poor kids over in the process.

Wednesday was our Brad-y's birthday and Brody's half birthday! It was a very low key kinda day...which suits him best. We headed out for a swim with the cousins and his mom late that afternoon and then had a bite to eat just the two of us...that's all.

Frontier City

About a month or so ago, nana was nice enough to take Brody on his own to our local amusement park, Frontier City. Ever since then Brody has been talking about that day almost everyday. The day finally came for him that Nana would take him again after her vacation, and just our luck he woke up with a fever and throwing up! He was so bummed when I told him he wouldn't be going to Frontier City. They rescheduled their date and on Monday they got to go again!

Brody loves trucks, cars, trains and anything that goes, so he was in heaven riding the old time carriages.

During the summer the Beacon Theater opens its gates to everyone! Its a fun throw-back activity and much cheaper than going to the regular movies...even the concessions ;)

Outer Banks, NC

This last week Brody and I headed up to North Carolina on a funfilled trip with my mom, dad, sister and niece. These pictures are in no particular order so don't get confused. AND my family does NOT like to pose for pictures so mostly you see the cute kiddies and beautiful scenery.

This is a lighthouse on the island of Ocracoke,NC. this island was just like you would read about in a book, quiet, small, friendly and very inviting.

One side of the island was the beach and the other was the bay. These are a few of the boats going out on sunset cruises at dusk.

The beach was nice becasue it wasn't crowded at all. just a few beachgoers relaxing. Thewaster was a little chilly but felt nice after a minute because it was just so hot and humid outside. Here is Brody and Lydia playing in someone else's sand castle they left behind.

One happy shot. He was kind of honery that day, all he wanted to do was bully everyone around. but how could you get mad at a face like this ;)

Lydia's quest that afternoon was to find as many seashells as possible. She was even nice enough to share them with her baby cousin Bro-Bro.

In Nagshead, NC we got to see a really great play about the lost colony of Roanoke. I was afraid at first of how Brody would behave but he did great till the very end. It was exciting to see all the interaction the cast had during the play.

ZING ZANG ZOOM!

This weekend we were so happy to have someone come visit US at our sweet little home ;) My sister Isaura (aka: Issy) graced us with her lovely presence from good ol' Texas. We had quite the fun little weekend. Nothing to crazy just the usual things I love, chillaxin', eating and spending some guilt free dinero! Thursday and Friday we grilled and ate awesome dinners by mister Bradley. Friday we went on a walk with Brody so he could show her his donkey and horse friends in our neighborhood, then we took a little detour down to the city to visit Hobby Lobby's clearance center "Basket Market", then we swung by the bomb little hole in the wall taco shop,"Tacos San Pedro". I could eat there once a week and never get sick of it..........mmm. Saturday I was soooo excited to get to take him to the Barnum & Bailey's Circus: ZING ZANG ZOOM! He did love it but he didn't get as excited as I thought he would. However it was a little overwhelming,I'll admit, I wanted to cry when I sat down and it started bc it was just so much and he was probably way overstimulated to even get a chance to get excited! The BOK center was huge, they had at least two shows going on the whole time, there were lights, music, vendors and people everywhere, even a cute little Mennonite family sitting two rows in front of us, I can't imagine what those kids were thinking! They didn't have as many animals as I remember when I was little, so that was a bummer bc Brody LOVES animals and they were definitely his favorite part. Isaura and him even made up a song about 2 of the 12 tigers, Sasha and Princesa. It was totally fun and can't wait till we can do it again!

This Mother's Day was great like always! I woke up to a wonderful breakfast in bed....I will spare you the picture of me in my pjs. Then we went to church like every Sunday and got chocolate like every Mother's day ;) (time to mix it up a bit Guthrie) For Dinner my mother in law and I were spoiled with a surf n' turf dinner where I got a wonderful diffuser from my in-laws, a dress from my mom and dad and a trip to go visit my sister and vacay in the OBX this June from my hunka-hunka-burning love! Well everybody, I guess the Bowman curse is true because its another BOY! But we are ecstatic for Brody to have a brother that he can be close to, talk with, play with, fight with, share with and just be a great big brother we know he will be! Brody always said he was going to have a baby brother, so I guess kids are always right! Yesterday he kept telling everyone he was going to have a baby Milo that he was going to share his trucks, trains, and cars with! WOW, because Brody doesn't like to share unless he is feeling extra nice, or has too. I am already starting to think about what their room will look like since they might be sharing one if they can fit ;p

Well... here's to still being the queen of the house and cheers to Brad not having to get a second job if it was a girl! ha ha

We aren't trying to potty train Brody but we always like to ask if he wants to use the toilet if we know 'something' is up. 99% of the time its always a definite NO, but once in a blue moon he will want to sit on the toilet for 2 seconds and then hop off. Instead of using the bathroom like I would Brad always goes out the french door in our bedroom ;p So of course Brody wanted to try like dada and go like a big boy...............aren't those the cutest buns ever????

I'm loving the House of Bowman Brothers new spring/summer line! Every year Brad gets a bunch of shirts made for his crews and he always gets a couple of shirts for Brody. The smallest shirts are always 5 sizes too big for him and he wears them to bed, but today Brody ran inside with his must have look for the season, and it finally fits! I thought I had to capture it on film!

My mom came to town last week and we played around here before we headed down to visit my sister in Texas. For the past 4 weeks Brody and I have been taking swimming lessons twice a week. It had been quite a treat for the both of us! Brody LOVES to swim and I love to watch him have fun swimming. This past summer we went to Pelican Bay in Edmond almost everyday, so I figured this year it might be more fun if he could navigate around the waters a little more better and safely. This past Tuesday was his last class, so he's graduated from water tots, and we are going to try to sign up for the next class which is the preschool class. He loved his teacher and all his little swim buddies at the pool so hopefully we will get to start that up next week ;)

This past Thursday our little papí turned 2! He has been such a joy in our lives. He is a FUNNY, SMART, FEISTY, INDEPENDENT, loving, sweet little guy. I can't imagine our lives with out him. He teaches me something new everyday and makes me want to be a better person. He makes me one proud mama! For the birthday festivities we went to our swimming class which he loves. He knows all the kids and teacher's names. He likes to be a goof ball in the pool but he is still a little fish! Ever since my mom and dad took him to Chuck E. Cheese, he has been asking for it on and off, so for his birthday he told us he wanted to go to " shucky sheese". We had fun eating a tostinos size pizza for $10, playing the games and I think Brody's favorite part was putting the little coins in the slots and after many tokens and tickets , getting a few little suckers...figures.

After the new year us and 8 of our friends went on a cruise to Mexico. It was alot of fun to hang around with our friends, LAUGH ALOT, eat ALOT, play around and just chill! Houston Christmas 2009

This year we once again celebrated Christmas and New Year in Houston. It was a fun festive week full of family, food and fun! We got there Christmas eve and stayed till January 10th! We had fun seeing cousins and playing at the park and visiting all the fun places that Houston has to offer. Christmas we had a fun dinner, talent show and christmas program to start off the day and it was fun to see all the talents everyone has!

On Sunday, good ol' St. Nick decided to come to Nana and Papa's house and drop off a couple of teaser gifts before Christmas! Brody was excited but just a little nervous at the same time. We started off the evening with making some Christmas cookies for Santa, not knowing he was going to come that evening ;) then we had a yummy roast beast dinner with the family and I volunteered to make dessert which was a peppermint and sugar brimmed glass filled with hot cocoa ice cream, peppermint ice cream and drizzled with some hot fudge. Santa came and passed out a few gifts to the kiddies and told them how important our families are and the true meaning of Christmas! Brad and I also got to open a few gifts from the fam but most of all we had a FUN and FESTIVE night ! We will be leaving town tomorrow to spend actual Christmas with my family and then we are going on a cruise with 9 of our friends to Mexico! Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Hopeful New Year!!!!!!!

Yesterday we FINALLY decided to get our Christmas tree with all the trimmings. Dada picked the tree and the lights and Brody and I picked the ornaments. Mister had fun placing the balls oh so "nicely" in the tree, good thing I was there to help. Then to top it off, Dada held him up and he knew exactly where to put the star, how festive!

This week has been a fun filled Thanksgiving holiday. It started with Elizabeth, Steven and baby Charlie coming to visit from Colorado. They suprised Laurie and Kent early on Saturday night, so everyone came over to visit and have a popcorn party!

The girls then went and saw the latest twilight movie 'New Moon' I loved the movie actually more than the book by the way.

Sunday for FHE we made christmas popcorn wreaths. An old Cramer tradtion. Thanks Steven and Elizabeth for letting us in on the yummy treat!

Lastly since some of the family wouldn't be together for Christmas, we exchanged gifts early! Steven and Elizabeth got us a FIESTA fun pack, filled with margarita cups, piña colada mix, traditional tortilla maker, and a snazzy table runner! now we just have to have a party!

I have the worst luck when it comes to animals! Sampson has been with us for over two years, but then out of the blue about a month ago he disappeared and hasn't come back ;( He used to leave once in a while but then come back after a couple days. After calling around and asking a couple of neighbors we think he is gone for good. NO MORE PETS till Brody is old enough to take care of them. Miss you Sampson ♥ On a happier note. Brody thought it was funny to take off his diaper over and over and have us chase him around to make sure he didn't pee pee on the floor! silly guy.

This past week we first got to go visit my sister-in-law and brother-in-law in Colorado. The trip up was fun. Brody did great except the last little bit. While there we got to have a family dinner with Brad's Aunt, Uncle & cousin, visit some fun outlets, eat good sushi in a fun neighborhood, see his cousins high school play teaser, drive up to Evergreen, CO. and visited the coolest cafe and shops and ate the BEST donut ever! (this donut poops krispy kreme and shipley's), play at the park, go to the library & experience Steve-o's juicy loosey burgers. Once again I only have my OLD camera that holds like 42 pics so enjoy!

I can't believe how fast the summer has come and gone and now winter is quickly approaching. I love this time of year, but I think I always say that when a new season approaches. It seems like the holidays are coming quickly! This month will be busy with alot of traveling to see new and old family members I am sooo excited to see a new baby, my sisters, and for thanksgiving we will be heading down to W. Texas to see my extended family I haven't seen in a while. I am really excited to be able to spend time with my grandmothers who are still living and try to get some interesting stories about them and their lives. I told Brad I wanted to take them to their favorite restaurant... LUBY'S cafeteria ;) Isn't that all old peoples favorite? They are getting older so this might be one of the last times I get to see them, but I hope to get in some fun experiences. I hope I can always have an attitude of THANKSGIVING all year long but bc its November I will say I am thankful for my family and ALLLLLLL my blessings I recieve daily. Happy November to all ♥

Chester's party Barn and pumpkin patch

Last week we went to Piedmont, OK to a pumpkin patch to help ring in the fall festivities! There were many activities for all the kids and even adults. They had a pumpkin patch where everyone got one pie pumpkin (not to be confused with one pumpkin pie). The had a small arena where they gave pony rides. A petting zoo where you could interact and feed the animals, sack races, corn maze, hayride, huge slide rides, 10 ton sand box, and much more. I was sooooo proud of Brody because he looooooves horses, he talks the talk but can't walk the walk. Whenever he sees them in person up close he gets scared and says "no, no, no". But this time we were determined to get him on a pony. AND HE DID. Dada rode beside him the whole time and he was scared at first but a real Oklahoma cowboy in the end.

Last weekend Brody and I took the Heartland Flyer to visit my sister in Ft. Worth. It was alot of fun and cheaper for me to take the train than drive. It was MUCH more convenient too, bc I didn't have to stop to stretch our legs or eat lunch or stop at the Gainsville Outlets...oops did I just say that out loud? Brad I don't do that...... We left at 8:25 am and got there around 12:15 ish so it takes the same time, actually less time than it would take me bc I stop more than the train does! There was one or two questionable people on the train, but mostly it was college age kids, old people and singles. One the way back home this little girl befriended us and then wouldn't leave. Towards the end every time she asked a question I would say "I dunno why don't you go ask your grandpa" and even Brody was tired of her too. She asked him if he wanted to play and he said "No tanks". OH well at least we made a new friend!

FISH FOOD

Two weeks ago for Family Home Evening we decided to get Brody a pet fish. Now no offense to you fish lovers and owners out there, but I don't like fish. I think they stink and are gross and I only like them in a frying pan or on top of a bed of rice! I really didn't want to get him one because I knew I would have to take care of them, and the thought of cleaning out a fish bowl grosses me out. Brad wanted to get an actual aquarium with a filter so I didn't have to worry about that, but 1. I have no place for an aquarium and 2. an aquarium is more permanent and I didn't want to replace any dead fish, the faster they die the faster I can put the bowl away for good. Anyway we ended up getting three fish and Brody thought they were pretty cool. He likes to watch me feed them what he calls cereal, but smells like fish booty. So far two of the three have lasted. A couple days later one died and I had to clean out the bowl (gross) and flush him to fishy heaven! I wasn't even thinking while I was doing this bc Brody was in the bath and he watched me dump the fish and dirty water down the toilet and he stood up from his bath and said : "uh-oh mama, fish..., uh-oh, fish"...ooops... I hope when he grows up de doesn't turn out dysfunctional and blame it on watching me flush his fish down the toilet when he was 20 mos. old AGH!

P.S. I have to clean out the stupid bowl every day!!!!!! so don't get a fish bowl if you don't like fish ;)

We decided to break out our paints yesterday and paint some pictures outside. Of course Sampson had to come be depressed next to us, so to cheer him up Brody painted his nails. What a nice guy!

Brody is very particular when it comes to his drawings. If I try to color on the same paper or add onto his pictures he gets sooo mad and will throw the paper or scribble really hard all over it and mess it up! he is such a brad, I mean brat;) This week he started to draw 'big trucks". One night it was zig-zags and a circle and the next day he added tires to the zig-zag circle, and now he is adding a circle inside the truck whick I think is the window! who knows. I PROMISE I DIDN'T HELP HIM DRAW THESE PICTURES. My sister and I were laughing bc a couple months ago there was this really young girl who was doing these amazing oil paintings, and she was on all these morning and talk shows. Come to find out her dad was 'coaching' her on the pictures. cheater! We were joking that it would be Brad and I in a few years...Big Truck IBig Truck II

My family has alot of artistic talents, I am good at copying stuff if that counts, but my mom, older brother and sister are very very talented at drawing, painting, sewing, etc...etc.... I think Brody has that gene bc he LOVES to color and draw. One day he drew for like 2 hours straight. He loves for Brad and I to draw trucks and fish. About two weeks ago I noticed he started drawing circles and then they became circles with tails. I asked him to draw me some fish and this is what he did.... the red fish is one I drew.

My mom painted this picture of Brody and I and even though she kept reminding me that it was a painting and not a photograph I still think its awesome!

Even though I am not very good at it, or don't do it very often, I like baking foods. In the paper the other day I found a recipe for Blueberry cream cheese pound cake. It looked and sounded delish. It was really easy to make and even more fun to eat. We all enjoyed it in the Bowman house! Brody was a little to protective of his food, whenever I tried to take a bite of his slice he would say "heeeeyyyy" .

Lately Brody has been really getting into trains, not really Thomas but just trains in general. He also has a love for animals, so we put those two together and took him to the zoo today to ride the train and check out some animals in the hot hot heat, well not so much heat but humidity, I felt like I was back home!

Tuesday is Brad's 27th birthday!! Today we had the birthday dinner at Nana and Papa's house since Brad will be celebrating his birthday at scout camp...man what a trooper! We love you babe! Thanks for being such a smart, loving, self-less, caring, wise, determined and did I say loving dada and hubby! you've done amazing for such a young guy! I am proud and thankful for YOU!!

This week we got to go visit my family in Houston. We drove half way to Ft. Worth and stayed with sister isaura and then next day went down home. We just had fun taking it easy, swimming and taking a fun trip to IKEA. Sister Ismari and her kids came and stayed at my mom's house while we were there so Brody had fun playing and screaming with and at Isaac and Maile !!

Today we went to a BBQ/pool party at some friends house and I made some cookies to take over. Brody was 'helping' me by taking handfuls of the cookie dough and shoveling it in his mouth. I had to move to the other counter bc he was going to make himself sick. I gave him the whisk and bowl to play with and it looks like maybe I didn't get all the cookie dough out!

We went to Kent and Mary's house for some finger lickin' good BBQ ribs, homemade icecream, cookies, bbq chickem , pasta salad, etc. We had some family friendly fireworks going off and Brody was scared at first but then got used to it and enjoyes holding the sparkler at the end!!!

Nothing like sharing an after dinner skinny cow with mom

Nice tan Brody. The funny thing is I put like 50 spf on him and 15 on me and he is darker. He LUUUUUUUVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVSSS the pool he will definatley take swimming lessons next year because he will just run and jump in knowing I will be there to catch him. He is great at holding his breath, and kicking his legs, what a fish!

Brody has two definate characteristics that he gets from Brad and I. OCDism from me and stick-to-it-ism from Brad. He has been really wanting to do things on his own lately, and if he wants to do it, he'll stick with it till he gets it done (or cries till I help him do it, and then cries bc I helped him). He has great motor skills and he has been buckling himself in all high chairs, strollers and carts and tries his car seat. Luckily he doesn't try to unbuckle it...yet.

I know its cheesy but I have to dedicate this to Brad!! First let me say happy father's day to all the responsible and good dad's in our lives, past, present and future ;) Happy Father's Day Brad we love you ! you are such a great man. You are a great husband who treats me... well...like a princess! You are a hard worker, at home, work, church and everywhere else you could work hard at. There isn't one lazy bone in your body. Brody LUUUUUUUUUVS his dada, whenever he see's Brad's truck he smiles and says "dada" and runs to wach him come to the door throught the window. He gets so excited when he hears the front or garage door open he knows dada is home. he loves playing outside, wrestling, watching cartoons, eating, drinking, and swimming with you! I am so thank-ful for you! I would write more but the cheese is getting all over the keyboard! Love you babe ;)

Utah trip

Last week we were able to go to Utah for about a week to visit friends and family. My brother and his family just had a baby in March and Brody and I went up for the baby's blessing. I had fun reminiscing on my old stomping grounds and catching up with some old friends and now their babies! We got to spend fun time with my brother and sister in law and Brody loved his cousins, especially baby Mali'e. Evey time he would see her he would want to hug and kiss her, push her in her swing, lay his big head on her and if her pacifier would fall out he would say "uh-oh" and put it back in her mouth. She was a good sport and let him enjoy her love. We spent some time shopping in SLC, visited BYU campus and the bookstore. poked fun at the cheese balls walking around campus. had an awesome BBQ at my brother's beautiful house. Had a baby blessing on Sunday and more fun just talking, going to the park, going on bike rides and just having a great time. We miss our family and can't wait to see them again. Of course I stink at taking pics so I have about 1000 of Brody and none of anyone else important ;( not that 1000 pics of Brody aren't important...

Ft. Worth-it

This past weekend we went down to visit my sister and her husband in Ft.Worth while my other family made the trek from North Carolina and Houston. It was alot of laughing, playing, pulling grey hairs, eating, exploring, sight seeing, getting lost, shopping and more eating!!! I love to see my family and miss them alot its always tons of funny fun when we get together. They make me laugh and in the words of my older and wiser sister..." I'm kinda liking this families are forever buisness"

Last week we decided to do some gardening. We pulled out old, dead pansies, weeded and mulched. Brad is pretty fast so for every weed I pulled he pulled 30. For every hole I dug he dug ten and for every Begonia I planted he did 5 and for every break I took he took none... this is why he informed me that he would never hire me as a Bowman Brothers employee bc I'm too slow. Anywhoo, Brody had fun playing in the dirt, pulling out the flower petals, throwing around dirt like he was doing what dada was doing and of course riding Sampson.

Yesterday was an awesome weather day! It was sunny and warm, so we headed outside to play in our "Elmo" sprinkler. Brody wasn't sure about it and the water was kinda cold so he played with Sampson instead. Later in the afternoon we went to my MIL's neighbor's little hobby farm with cousins and friends to check out all the cool baby animals spring has brought.

Happy Mother's day to all you beautiful mothers and future mothers outh there...HOLLA!!! This past week I had my family come visit for a couple of day, but MY mom visited for longer. We had fun going to Guthrie and checking out the antique shoppes, going to lunch, chilling and just having fun.. we miss you. Today Brad and Brody got me a new camers. YEAH cause my old one was old and crappy. So here's to prospective better pictures and attempting to take more pictures. CHEERS!

Birthday's and Books gone to the dogs

Tonight we took Brody to Edmond Library for their "Reading to the dogs" night. They had several therapy dogs in the library just laying out while children come around and read books to them. At first he was shy but then he was a goofball climing all over the chairs and telling the dogs "no no" so we said our good-byes he screamed and ADIOS PERROS!

Last week we celebrated papa's birthday and it was a suprise party! We hid out at my BIL house and waited for nana and papa to just "swing" by to pick up something while on their way to dinner and a movie. They came in and he was suprised. good or bad I dunno bc he sure was looking foward to that fake steak dinner, but we had our own steak dinner with our cows. Brody had fun playing in the sand box outside, jumping on the tramp and just being around all boys. He thinks he is such a big boy but he's still my baby.

Today we took a trip to the library. Brody LOOOOOOOOOOVES books. He loves reading them and being read to. This was the first time we went and he went up to the books, took them off the shelves, sat down and just started looking and talking to me. He would look at them like he was really checking out the cover to see if it was a "good" book. Maybe when he is older he can earn points to get Pizza Hut's personal pan pizzas. Do they still do that??? when we got home he chilled and watched a little tv bc sometimes after reading you don't want to think ;)

Brody has such a personality! He is a fiesty, independent, funny and determined little guy! Latley he's been hammin' it up at our house he just does the funniest stuff. Last night he though it'd be reeal funny to dump his food on his head and balance his bowl like a little jewish yamaka! it was pretty funny but I tried to keep a straight face so he won't continue this. I don't think it helped I was taking pics while Brad was laughing! HELLO.

Beaver's Bend Park

Last night we went with some friends to Beaver Bend Park in Broken Bow, OK to scout out the park for the Boy scout camp that Brad helps out with this summer. I must admit it was not fun sitting in the middle (hump) backseat with my knees to my chest next to Brody for five plus hours. I didn't even know you could drive that far and still be in Oklahoma. ha ha ha But it was worth it the place was beautiful! We woke up to a view of the lake and pine trees everywhere with small mountains in the back! I'd love to go back this summer and go camping. and when I say go camping I mean stay in a boathouse that I saw for rent on the lake!! funzies

Sunday Sunday...

Today was a pretty nice day, so after our Sunday naps and dinner I went outside to get something from the car, and of course when I was coming back I saw this little head poking out of the door trying to escape. We played outside for a little bit and enjoyed the nice soft grass spring has brought. Bro tried to fix Brad's sprinkler and just ran around without having to worry about Sampson licking us. (he must have been at his girlfriends house)

Cruise 2009

Last week we were lucky enough to be able to go on a family vacation with Brad's brother and his crew. We went on a cruise down to the homeland for some fun in the sun. Brody loved every minute of it. He loved walking around all by himself meeting new people, pretending he was shy, looking out the windows, playing on the deck, playing in the water, going up and down the stairs, pushing the buttons on the elevator, buying candy in the candy shop, playing with Trey and Braden, sleeping in the bed with us(and he still thinks he's on vacation and does)eating sand playing in the water etc. etc.! It was nice to relax with everyone before we came back to reality ;) while we were there we went to a beach park where Brad entered in the ping pong contest and won first place!! Go Brad! it was nice to be catered to but it was nice to come home too! we are now ready for summer...
