Got Milk?

Yesterday I took Brody to the doctor for his 9 month check up. He lost some weight grew a couple of inches and has a big head. The dr. said well he's smart and long and lean! I definatley don't know where he get's the long and lean from (he doesn't look it)but we'll take credit for the smart part:) Well I was talking to the Dr. about some advice on weaning bc we'll be going on a cruise in less than one month and my mom will be watching him. So he was telling me that Brody could start drinking cow's milk. I was thinking skim milk since it would be easier to digest at first, but the Dr. said whole milk. so I bought a small bottle of whole milk for him to try bc I wasn't sure if he'd like it. Because I don't like milk at all. At dinner I put a little bit in his cup and at first he drank a big gulp and I though 'oh yea! he likes it'. then I gave him another drink and he did the gross burp gag like he wanted to barf. I though maybe he had to much food in his mouth so I tried it again. Nope he did the same burp gag and spit it out! so a little later I tried giving it to him again and he pushed it away and wouldn't open his mouth. He even waved 'bye' to it. But this morning I let him try my vanilla soy milk and....He liked it! he pulled the straw to his mouth bc he wanted more! he is his mom's son

Family Visit

My parents and sister came into town last weekend and we had fun going to POPS, the OKC bombing memorial, Guthrie, Haefer park and just around town! Luckily we'll see them again in a month for christmas!

I was in the batroom getting something out of the cabinet when I look over and Brody got the plunger stuck it in the toilet and started "plunging" away! Don't worry our toilets are clean and I cleaned him up afterward.

A day at the park

Today was a great day. We had fun this afternoon bc we decided to go to Haefer park and feed the ducks. We took Brody's stroller and went walking around the whole park which was beautiful bc you could see all the trees starting to change their colors. The temp wasn't too fallish like 79-80 degrees but still nice. After our long walk we were getting kinda hungry so Brad wanted to go to a Panda Express that they just opened bc it reminded him of his mission, and kinda reminded me of BYU, even though I was too poor to go out to eat in school, I usually went there or Cafe Rio when I first got back to Provo, bc I still had my summer money. So we walked several blocks and got lunch and a BIG drink at happy hour SONIC style. We had a little picnic at the tables there and then fed the ducks. I don't know if Brody has ever seen ducks before but He thought it was hilarious when Brad was feeding the ducks. We were all laughing bc it was soo cute to hear his belly laugh. Even the family behind us thought it was pretty funny. You'll have to listen close though bc our camera stinks.<
