I ♥ baking

Even though I am not very good at it, or don't do it very often, I like baking foods. In the paper the other day I found a recipe for Blueberry cream cheese pound cake. It looked and sounded delish. It was really easy to make and even more fun to eat. We all enjoyed it in the Bowman house! Brody was a little to protective of his food, whenever I tried to take a bite of his slice he would say "heeeeyyyy" .

brown bear, brown bear....

Brody's current favorite book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" we read it all the time and he has even started reciting 'bow bea, bow bea, waaah see'. So the other day he was on the floor reading the book and I was in the kitchen, when he took off to go play. I went to go pick up his mess when I swear I saw this..... (its a dart in the middle of the bear's head)

Either he is sick of the book or he was trying to tell me in not so many words that he wanted to read this book....................

We're Famous ;)

Well.... at least I am famous. Brad said not to get to excited bc it was the 133rd time he has been in the Edmond Sun....SORRY I wasn't famous in high school, sheesh.

SUMMER FUN TIME

One man's trash is another man's treasure! Our friends were kind enough to give Brody their old play gym that their boys have grown out of. We set it up today and he enjoyed going through the little tunnels and down the slide. He was a little fraidy-cat at first but once I give him a pull he loves it ♥

Edmond Historical Museum

Today we also went to the Edmond Historical Museum. A friend from church was telling me about how it was fun and FREE! It was too cute, aside from the interesting 'Edmond' facts and artifacts, they had a children's area where they had a ......

Little pretend general store where you could go grocery shopping.......

An art area where you could color and display your art for the museum's gallery
Little clothing shoppe where you could dress like olden times.....

"The Summit" which was Edmond's first train station and where Brody played the WHOLE time
An indian village...who knew Indians had library's in their tepees

A bank with play money and cash register

A Toddler garden with veggies inside.......they also had a sheriff's jail but I got no picture;(AND 'ye olde Hideaway pizza' jk it just happened to be next door to the museum so we thought we'd take a looksie ;0

Full Bloom

Yesterday Brad brought me home some beautiful roses and they are really starting to bloom! I will be said when they die, but I guess he'll just have to get me more ;)
