This old house

For a while Brad has been saying how he was wanting to re-do the flower beds and make them bigger. So last week he started by breaking up the walkway and laying down this cobblestone path. Then yesterday he went to the nursery and picked a slew of beautiful plants, flowers and trees. He also had a huge pine tree moved from the front to the back bc it was kinda out of place and growing funny. Bro-Bro had fun watching him work while eating acorns, dirt and laughing at Sampson. Brad is to Nursery as Yvette is to Target:) When he was finished I drove by the house and it put our other half of the yard to shame. Brad is so good at do-it-yourself stuff. He's like my dad, he's so smart he can do anything, fix anything, make anything and be anything he wants!! I am blessed to have him as a hubby. He's definatley a man's man!! He tries to describe his thoughts to me but they're so detailed I make him draw it out for me. His next Project is to add to the house this winter..so hopefully he sticks to it and it turns out as good as his other projects:)

Hurrication = PAR-TAY

Due to the ramilfications of HURRICAN IKE we caught a couple family member up here in okliehoma! Kent, Mary and boys were able to come up this past week to hang out with us while houston had no electricity!!! So we did what we did best and ate, played games, goofed off, went to the zoo, state fair, movies, shopping, BBQ's, and just plain PARTAYED!

Here we are LION PRIDE posing at the zoo. we got to see everything but the elephants. They are on a two year "date" at the Tulsa zoo, hopefully they'll come back with a baby:)

Gretchen and the boys too busy looking at the pets to pose. Brooks can probably make every animal sound for you our favorite was his "owl" sound too cute. While Yadon could tell you the correct names of the animals while we adults just generalized it. "No thats not a sheep thats a goat"

Mary, Trey and Brody always willing to take a pic with Bro-Bro

Brody was actually sick for a couple of day and I bought him some medicinal lolipops. He can tell you how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop or the flavor of gum in a blow pop but after a couple of mins licking the medicine one they were on the floor...boo it tasted the same to me

I thought this sign was suited well for Brody. We should hang it over his cage at home.

Trey was excited to read to all his cousins and they loved to listen and look at the pictures. Trey was a great older cousin. He LOVESSSSS Brody and was with him every second he wanted to be where ever Brody was. He was such a good helper. Thanks Trey we love you!

Tonight we celebrated Brooks 2nd birthday!! Brody loves pizza suprise suprise and had fun with all his cousins and friends!

Galveston Beach

This past week we were able to jet down to Tejas for several days to visit our families before another hurricane came. We made it there last thursday night and started off the weekend right with dinner with the family at "LOS CUCOS" mexican restaurant. YUMMMY this place is my fave and the food is devine! Sorry Okies but it eat and poops "TEDS ESCONDIDO" by far.
I must admit I'm a hustler and I'm obsessed with making fast cash! So on Friday morning I had a garage sale at my mom's house and sold a bunch of my sister's stuff since she is moving to DFW and needed to de-clutter. Brad helped me before heading off to his brother's by giving me some good sales tactics to reel the buyers in. here are a few: Wave when the buyers are doing the drive by, makes them feel welcome and encourages them to stop. Greet them and be friendly when they walk up the driveway. Make them want the items by commenting on them like "Those books are some good reads" "That shirt would look great on you" "Aren't those shoes cute" and "Buy three get the fourth free!". I didn't make as much as I'd like bc I did it on Friday and I had to split the proceeds but it was still fun.
We then left to the beach house late friday night and woke up Saturday. My dad and I rode bikes around looking at the local real estate and checking out the beach. Later I headed down to the beach on my own and laid out for about two hours and read "TWILIGHT". We all came back later and swam, boogie boarded, dug for crabs, buried eachother and just had some good clean fun! I love visiting our family and can't wait to go back !
Monday my wonderful photog sister took some great shots of Bro-Bro just playing with Buster her dog son and some profesh one out in her back yard...check it out.

P.S. I'm really bad at taking pics so most of them I stole from my sister...sorry issy

What's your color?

You Are a Yellow Crayon

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.

You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.

Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.

While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.
