Workout

This past week Brad, Brody and I joined the local gym with some good friends of ours, Kelli and Tanner! We are very excited, and when I say we I mean me and maybe Brody. Today was our first night to go and we all decided to go to the spinning class they had. I loved it it was a great work out, but the only thing that was burning was my BUTT!!! those seats killed, next time I'll have to bring gelled biker shorts or something. However....Brad and Tanner bailed after 20 mins...boo. They decided to go to the hot tub instead. Then to end a great work out we went back to their house for dinner of Chili and double chocolate cake and Dr.pepper. hahahahahahaaaaahahahahahah I know I am a loser. I'll do better tommorrow.

Birthday Party

Brody with all his gifts!

Enjoying his hot dog and veggies

His cowboy boot cake I made which was hard to frost! Brad had to finish it for me ;)

Everyone singing Happy Birthday to him, and he was acting shy

Isaura my sister came all the way from Ft.Worth to be with us for his first birthday! she had just been down to Houston the day before taking care of our niece and nephew. What a great aunt we love you Issy!

The awesome cake pops my sister hand made. They were so beautiful you didn't want to eat them, but when you did it was divine .

Family portrait
On Saturday we had Brody's one year birthday party. I decided to do a cowboy theme and had a cowboy boot cake, cowboy food (hot dogs, hamburgers) and some cowboy games outside like horse shoes, gun target and toys in a haystack and roasted marshmallows. It was pretty cold outside so most people stayed indoors. It was fun to see all the kids playing with Brody and having fun. Here are some pictures from the big fiesta.

I can't believe it but my baby is going to be ONE tommorrow!! He is such a sweet, smart, fiesty, silly little ham. He has a great personality, he's always happy unless he's hungry or wants to do something by himself... He is very independent. He has gotten to be such a big talker. In the past month he has learned the words: Mama, agua/wawa (water), go, Boo, bye-bye, woof-woof, baby, oh-wow, uh-oh, and we've been working on dada, and Laurie is working on nana and papa which he is getting. I love being with him and I miss him when he's not with me. the time has gone soooo fast and its exciting to see the new things he learns everyday!!!!

Western Caribbean Cruise

In December Brad and I got to go on a 7-day cruise to Mexico and Honduras and it was tons of fun!! We left out of Galveston on Dec. 14 and came back just before Christmas on the 21st. We left Brody with my parents and he had a vacation on his own. Our first two days I was sea sick which was NOT fun. I felt like I was preggers all over again. But then I took off my motion sickness patch and just took a Dramamine and felt much better. Our first stop was Cozumel, Mexico. We rode ATVs through the jungle and got to see a few Mayan ruins which were pretty cool.

Our next stop was Roatan, Honduras. We went snorkeling on a private beach and saw some pretty cool coral reef. I also got to pet a shark which was kinda freaky. It felt like sandpaper, but a fun experience. We also got REAL cheap massages on the beach by some local Hondurans. It felt like I asked Brad to massage my back while he was watching an OU football game but still... a fun experience ;)

Our last stop was Costa Maya, Mexico. We rented a golf cart and just rode along the beach and viewed the beautifulness. It had been hit by a big hurricane so there were alot of locals fixing their little huts, and military men with AK 47s on top of roofs and hummers. (maybe to keep the peace from the crazy looters) jk Yes that was a little weird but we had fun laying on the beach and combing the sand for buried treasures.

By Thursday I was missing my little man. I wanted to launch one of the yellow dinghy's and sail home but I was having to much fun eating, laying out, eating, drinking strawberry daquiri's, eating, watching belly flop contests, and oh yeah, eating!!!!! From the cruise to holiday eating my New Year's resolution is to join a gym...jeez
