MERRY CHRISTMAS !
I have been slacking lately on the blogging while I have been down in Houston, but I wanted to post some pictures of our Nativity "play". My mom wrote a little christmas play and my nieces were the star and Mary, my nephew was Joseph, Brody was baby Jesus, my bro in laws were wise men and the sheperds! It was very cute and they all did a good job. However baby Jesus was a little fiesty he did simmer down at the end! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May the Savior's spirit bless all your homes this year. Love the Bowmans

Got Milk?
Yesterday I took Brody to the doctor for his 9 month check up. He lost some weight grew a couple of inches and has a big head. The dr. said well he's smart and long and lean! I definatley don't know where he get's the long and lean from (he doesn't look it)but we'll take credit for the smart part:) Well I was talking to the Dr. about some advice on weaning bc we'll be going on a cruise in less than one month and my mom will be watching him. So he was telling me that Brody could start drinking cow's milk. I was thinking skim milk since it would be easier to digest at first, but the Dr. said whole milk. so I bought a small bottle of whole milk for him to try bc I wasn't sure if he'd like it. Because I don't like milk at all. At dinner I put a little bit in his cup and at first he drank a big gulp and I though 'oh yea! he likes it'. then I gave him another drink and he did the gross burp gag like he wanted to barf. I though maybe he had to much food in his mouth so I tried it again. Nope he did the same burp gag and spit it out! so a little later I tried giving it to him again and he pushed it away and wouldn't open his mouth. He even waved 'bye' to it. But this morning I let him try my vanilla soy milk and....He liked it! he pulled the straw to his mouth bc he wanted more! he is his mom's son

Family Visit
My parents and sister came into town last weekend and we had fun going to POPS, the OKC bombing memorial, Guthrie, Haefer park and just around town! Luckily we'll see them again in a month for christmas!
I was in the batroom getting something out of the cabinet when I look over and Brody got the plunger stuck it in the toilet and started "plunging" away! Don't worry our toilets are clean and I cleaned him up afterward.

A day at the park
Today was a great day. We had fun this afternoon bc we decided to go to Haefer park and feed the ducks. We took Brody's stroller and went walking around the whole park which was beautiful bc you could see all the trees starting to change their colors. The temp wasn't too fallish like 79-80 degrees but still nice. After our long walk we were getting kinda hungry so Brad wanted to go to a Panda Express that they just opened bc it reminded him of his mission, and kinda reminded me of BYU, even though I was too poor to go out to eat in school, I usually went there or Cafe Rio when I first got back to Provo, bc I still had my summer money. So we walked several blocks and got lunch and a BIG drink at happy hour SONIC style. We had a little picnic at the tables there and then fed the ducks. I don't know if Brody has ever seen ducks before but He thought it was hilarious when Brad was feeding the ducks. We were all laughing bc it was soo cute to hear his belly laugh. Even the family behind us thought it was pretty funny. You'll have to listen close though bc our camera stinks.<

Trunk or Treat
Yesterday our church hosted it's annual Trunk or Treat. The festivities included a chili dinner/contest, which I entered but didn't win ;( boo. Games, face painting and hay rides for the kiddos, and lastly Trick or treating from car to car. Brody was a chicken and Brad and I were chicken farmers. He did pretty good with the outfit and enjoyed his only piece of candy (bc we ran out of candy and gave his away at the trunk...and when I say we I mean Brad) AND he didn't try to rub his make-up off. I don't know if thats a good or bad thing...Happy Halloween

NC Trip
Brody and I have been in Charlotte visiting my sister, Iris, Josh and Lydia, and my sister-in-law, Elizabeth and Steven. We have been chilling and having fun. Lydia loves Brody and Brody loves having another little person to play with. Yesterday we went to DISNEY on ice and it was fun. They sure do put on a good show. (My camera ran out of batteries so I'll post pics later) When I asked Lydia what her favorite part was she said "eating popcorn" he he But really she loved it all, her eyes were glued to the ice stage. Today we did a little "souvenir" shopping and this is how they felt about it... souvenirs, shmouvenirs, silly guys. Lydia loved entertaining Brody in the car, she would sing and read to him and here she is showing him her homework, and he helps check it ;)
For dinner tonight we made these awesome pork and avocado enchiladas, Iris made yummy black bean soup and I made Iris's MONSTER cookies!!! All was very delish! I think by the end of the night we were the real monsters, we had shaved all but a row and a half of these bad boys!
