Sous Chef

Because Brody doesn't like to be left alone I usually set him in his BUMBO in the middle of the counter while I am cooking. So Brad and I joke around and call him my little sous chef. This morning while I was making pancakes brad whipped up a little chef hat and put it on him, and suprisingly he kept it on for a while.

ZOO trip

A couple of weeks ago we took Brody to the zoo with Laurie, Benj, Gretch, Yadon and Brooks. It was nice and breezy and I was excited because I had never been to the OKC zoo. Bro-Bro was asleep for the first half then woke up for the second half, then was ready to leave soon after that... He must have not enjoyed the smells of the gorilla cage. We had fun and hope too go back again!

puppy update

After much asking, Brad went across the street to see if our neighbors found Delilah, well they did she was hiding under their shed the whole time And she had the puppies! Brad said they were still reallly little and they had no hair, but..... some were BLACK and some white...hmmm sampson and delilah are white. but Brad said that Labs can have different color babies, we'll see, I still want one.

Food glorious FOOD! Part 2

Today Brody's doctor said he could start eating some green veggies so I blended up some zuchinni and green beans and he loved it. I tasted it too and it wasn't bad at all. I think he was getting bored with the rice cereal but now we can vary up the foods and my sister Isaura gave us a cool baby food book with fun recipes to try. please excuse the video lighting I have an old school camera.

Brody went to the doctor today for his 4 month check up and the Doctor was very impressed because he was doing things at a six month level! yeah for Brody, I just thought I'd toot his horn for him since he can't do it himself.

Yesterday I was pulling out of a parking lot when this car passed me. Inside the car there was this little kid in the back standing up, and I thought, Why isn't he in a car seat? (he was pretty little and he had a small head, like 5th percentile small) Then I looked again, and it was a little MONKEY with a green jersey on! it was sooo cute I wanted one, but instead I put a green shirt on Brody today, so thats close enough...

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Brad, Daddy, Suegrito (Kent) and Sampson, Yes, Sampson. We found out today that he impregnated Delilah across the street, Yesh, Delilah is her name...I know, I know Sampson and Delilah very cute and her owners were looking for her today because they think she ran off to have the babies and couldn't find her:( so hopefully some cute puppy pics will post soon

Today I was weeding my garden, and let me tell you that was a work out! I should let the weeds over grow more often because I was using my core to pull some of those bad boys out! But I did get some radishes that i might have pulled to late because they look like beets..uh oh. Brody went out with me for the second half and played with sampson and here are some sweet shots.

Food glorious FOOD!

Lately I haven't been following the strict "new" mom rules to feeding your infant. This past week or two Brody has been introduced to: refried beans, french fries, ice cream sandwiches, icing, whip cream, dum-dums, yogurt, cookies, and probably some other stuff that people gave him behind my back...you know who you are. And yes being his mother's son he LOVED it all and cried sometimes when you took it away. So finally today I fed him rice cereal for the first time and again, he loved it, he even kept trying to take the spoon away from me! little stinker, so I had to record it for posterity's sake!

Houston Trip

Houston wa a lot of fun! I was able to stay there a whole week! on Friday the guys had a good ol' fashion Fajita throwdown Bobby Flay style and the girls had a dessert throwdown. But of course everyone was a winner..wha wha....:)

I had a garage sale on Saturday and made $100! My nieces and nephew helped out by bringing thier junk... I mean items to the sale . Isaac was having a hard time grasping the concept of a garage sale. He was wanting to sell his Thomas the Trains for $15 but we explained it to him and the little guy made $10 on all his trains and Sodor Island.
Saturday afernoon we spent the time partying with kent jr and family. It was Trey's 7th birthday it's crazy to think I met trey when he was barely 4 yrs old.

Here are all my Brother -in- laws , steve, marc, josh, brad (hubby) and kent getting ready for a night on the town to this steak restaurant called the taste of texas, brad said it was one of the best steaks he'd ever had. I love and miss you guys.
